An official spokesman of APPM comments:

“Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill intends to build the first waste paper machine (KDM-4). It will run on secondary fiber, which is a novelty of the corporate environmental agenda. Thus, Pulp Mill Holding will create a cyclical bioeconomy of all its Russian productions.»

According to the company, such decision was taken on the basic environmentally oriented principles of the company’s activities.

The capacity of KDM-4 will be 400,000 tons of products per year. The new production will be focused mainly on the domestic market. Following the launch of the fourth machine, the capacity of the Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill for the production of cardboard will be over 1 million tons per year.

Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill was founded in 1940 and is one of the leading wood chemical companies in Russia and Europe. It specializes in the production of cardboard and commercial pulp. The sole shareholder of ACBK is the Austrian company Pulp Mill Holding GmbH.
