Stora Enso will invest approximately EUR 30 million in its Heinola Fluting site in Finland to renew the energy set-up and process equipment. On January 31st 2023, the Austrian Pfeifer Holding GmbH was able to successfully complete the acquisition of the largest private wood processing company in northern Finland, Pölkky Oy, by closing the transaction. After signing the contract at the end of December 2022, the competition authority has now given green light for the merger. It was agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
