In an interview with Fars reporter in Zanjan today, Alireza Jozeghassemi stated, "Rasha Caspian Company of Zanjan, which is known as one of the industrial water consuming production units in the province by producing paper, has enjoyed the treated effluent in Zanjan wastewater treatment plant."
Referring that this factory, as the first industrial unit in the province, receives 12,000 cubic meters of effluent per day, The CEO of Zanjan Water and Wastewater Company said, "According to the company's requirements, the ceiling of the contract for the sale of effluent to Rasha Caspian increases up to 22,000 cubic meters."
Pointing out that the wastewater treatment plant in Zanjan currently has 50,000 cubic meters of effluent per day, he said, "In the horizon of this project, the amount of effluent of the treatment plant will reach 75,000 cubic meters."
Pointing out that the first module of the Zanjan wastewater treatment plant has been put into operation with a capacity of covering 200,000 people, Jozeghassemi continued, "We are trying to put the second module into operation with a physical progress of 56% this year."
The CEO of Zanjan Water and Wastewater Company stated that the purpose of replacing the effluent with water extracted from underground water sources in the province's industries is to save water consumption, preserve underground water resources, and protect the province's environment and added, "Water and Wastewater Company is still ready to provide the effluent produced in Zanjan wastewater treatment plant to the water consuming industries."
He pointed out, "In addition to industrial units in Zanjan, the effluent of Abhar city wastewater treatment plant will soon be available to the industries of the city."
