The head of the Association of Paper Importers said, "If the government lifts its support by removing barriers that the trade faces and follow the policy of permitting well-know businesspeople as its main approach, the paper market will definitely be in desirable conditions and get closer to stability."
Seyed Hassan Mirbagheri, the head of the Association of Paper Importers, in an interview with cultural group of Mizan News Agency on paper price, said, "The paper price has fallen by 15 percent, this declining trend is noticeable if we take into consideration the September conditions and its specific interval (the start of academic year)."
He continued, "At present, the paper is imported with foreign currencies at NIMA exchange rate, and by distributing it on the market, the trend of declining newsprint and writing paper price has been accelerated."
The head of the Association of Paper Importers added, "In recent months, the meeting of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and the Market Regulation Headquarters with private sector and paper importers on paper price reduction has been effective and led to the downward trend of paper price."
Mirbagheri emphasized, "The decrease in barriers and the discussion about the challenges of paper imports had an important role in the fluctuation of the market price, but the discussions and numerous meetings on removal of barriers to supply foreign currencies at NIMA exchange rate and the foreign currencies originated from exports which come to the business cycle by private investors were the two important factors affecting paper market. And also the facilitated process of order registration and giving permission of allocating foreign currencies from Central bank have been important and remarkable approach."
He noted, "If the government lifts its support by removing barriers that the trade faces and follow the policy of permitting well-know businesspeople as its main approach, the paper market will definitely be in desirable conditions and get closer to stability."
