The Customs Director General in Markazi province said, "The exports of goods from the customs of the province increased by 69% in the first half of the year compare with the same period last year."
In an interview with IRNA on Tuesday, Mehdi Mirashrafi added, "673812 Tons of goods with the value of 464,930,215 USD were exported from the customs of the Markazi province the value of which was increased by 54% compared with the same period last year."
He continued, "417 thousand 867 tons of the exported goods amounting 216,878,770 USD were exported from Saveh customs, 87,435 with the value of 10,883,637 USD were exported from the customs of Iranian special zone (Zarandieh), and 111 thousand tons of the exported goods amounting 85,970 USD were exported from the customs of Kaveh Special zone."
The Customs Director General in Markazi province said that the main exported goods of the province in the current year include various types of hydrocarbons, linear light polyethylene, polypropylene, heavy polyethylene, ingot, plastic products, fibers, roof waterproofing, flowers and plants, crystal dishes, glass, chips, water heaters and tiles.
Mirashrafi said, "The goods were exported to 58 countries including Afghanistan, Turkey, Iraq, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Italy, Turkmenistan, Somalia, Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Germany, Azerbaijan, Bosnia, Brazil and France.
He said, "During the same period, 74,733 tons of goods amounting 174,733,350 USD were imported to the Markazi province which had the increase of 18% in weight and 28% in value."
The Customs Director General in Markazi province added. "The main imported goods to the province were sunflower kernels, machinery, juice pack, different types of concentrates, beta-carotene, cotton, unfinished raw pine wood, aluminum foils, and aluminum cans during the same period."
Mirashrafi continued, "They were imported from 50 countries including Uzbekistan, Serbia, Germany, China, South Korea, Turkey, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, France, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Denmark to the Markazi province."
He noted, "The customs of the Markazi province has earned 253 billion 235 million and 935 thousand Rials in the forms of national and provincial income which grew by 3% compare the same period last year."
The Customs Director General in Markazi province continued, "Moreover, the income from the VAT at customs of the Markazi province was 490 billion 695 million and 857 thousand Rials which had an increase of 11% compare with the similar period last year."
Narkazi province with 12 cities and a population of one million 414 thousand people is considered one of the important industrial and agricultural poles of the county.
