At the meeting of the members of the Specialized Organization of Paper, Cardboard, and Cellulosic products, some problems in the trade of paper types were pointed to, and the necessity to pay attention to technical and specialized knowledge at customs and the exact monitoring the type of imported product in compliance with commodity tariffs were emphasized.
According to IRNA on Tuesday reporting from the public relations of Iranian Trade Development Organization, the meeting was held in the organization with the presence of Mojtaba Khosrotaj, the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and the Director General of Iranian Trade Development Organization where the issue of the paper market, such as the quantity of production, the doestic demand, the market, the import sources, the dominant bank arrangements, the international and domestic price of products, was discussed."
At the meeting, the members of the Specialized Organization of Paper, Cardboard, and Cellulosic products pointed to some problems in the trade of paper types and emphasized on the necessity to pay attention to technical and specialized knowledge at customs and the exact monitoring the type of imported product in compliance with commodity tariffs were emphasized.
The representatives of the organizations, insisting on the necessity to amend the tariffs for some imported goods which lead to the import of high quality products, requested that due to the lack of framework to purchase on the basis of Usance (loan) in L/C, and concerning the shortage of financial resources in production units, these products should be regarded as raw materials so as to allow the use of Usance.
At the end, it was decided that the proposals made by the Association would be discussed and finalized at the first meeting of Article One Committee with the presence of the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade.
