According to ANA Economic Group reporting from the public relations of Iran Development Organization, the meeting was held with the presence of the Director General of Iranian Trade Development Organization and the board members of the Association of Paper, Cardboard, and Cellulosic Product Importers.
In the meeting, the members of the Association pointed to some trade problems for paper types, lack of expert and technical knowledge at customs, and the possibility of abusing the commodity tariffs with the type of imported product.
Based on the report, the Association emphasized on amending tariffs for some imported goods which can lead to the imports of high quality products. Moreover, due to the lack of framework to purchase on the basis of Usance (loan) in L/C, and concerning the shortage of financial resources in production units, the members of the Association requested the mentioned products should be regarded as raw materials so as to allow the use of Usance.
At the end, it was decided that the proposals made by the Association would be discussed and finalized at the first meeting of Article One Committee with the presence of the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade.
