The book of Export Import Regulations was published was printed and published with new amendments approved by the Cabinet of Ministers with delay.
According to Tasnim News Agency quoting the Public Relations of Iran Development of Business Organization, Ali Aliabadi, the Director General of the Export and Import Regulations Bureau, said, "The book of Export – Import Regulations of 2017 includes the nomenclature expressions of harmonized system of World Customs Organization which is updated every five years in terms of technological and commercial changes."
He pointed out, "The latest updated version of nomenclature was implemented in 2012, and the latest version has come into effect since the beginning of 2017."
Referring that the World Customs Organization has implemented and announced the amendments of 2017 and 2018 simultaneously, Aliabadi stated, "Given that the foreign trade statistics are prepared based on the lines of tariffs in the classification table of goods and ordering registration of goods will be carried out on the basis of the modified codes, the necessity of implementing the mentioned amendments in the book of Export and Import Regulations of 1396 (Iranian calendar year) is the requirement of the domestic commercial sector."
Aliabadi also noted, "The amendments were approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in Dec. 2016 to be included in the book of Export and Import Regulations of 2017."
The Director General of the Export and Import Regulations Bureau, referring to the new amendments approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on June 11, 2017, added, "The new modifications include the creation or elimination of the row of tariffs, the modification in the description of goods and the change in the content of footage in different chapters of the book of Export and Import Regulations which are considered in the publication. Moreover, other changes approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in 2016 and not included in the book of Export and Import Regulations of 2016 are included in this year book."
