A review on the official statistics indicates that in the first month of this year, China was the leading country both in the export to and import from Iran, and most Iran's exports belonged to this country.
According to ISNA, by the end of April this year, over 106 countries have been part of Iran's export markets out of which China has allocated 24.90% of weighing share and 22.59% of value share of Iran's exports to itself. Therefore, this country was the first destination of Iranian exports and imported over 2 million and 700 thousand tons of Iranian goods with the value of over 614 million 995 thousand USD.
After China, the United Arab Emirates was the second largest export destination of Iran's exports. This Arab country imported over 1,385,000 tons (17.19%) Iranian goods amounting 496.52 million USD (18.24% of the total value of Iran's exports).
Iraq among the neighboring countries importing over 1,052,000 tons was the third largest market for Iran's exports in April this year and allocated 13.06% of the total weight of Iran exports to itself. The total value of the Iran's exports to this country was 388.26 million USD (14.26% of the total value of Iran's exports in April).
The 4th largest destination of Iran's exports was India, which imported around 780,000 tons of goods from Iran and allocated 9.68% of total weight of Iran's exports to itself. The imports of India from Iran were worth around 245 million USD which was 9.11% of the total value of Iran's exports in April.
The Republic of Korea was the 5th largest Iran's export market which imported 329 thousand tons allocated 4.9% of total weight of Iran's exports to itself. The value of the exports to the Republic of Korea was 153 million USD which was 5.63% of total value of Iran's exports in April.
Afghanistan as the 6th largest Iran's export market imported around 399 thousand tons of Iranian goods in April and allocated 4.95% of total weight and 5.41% of total value of Iran's exports to itself which was worth 147,388,000 USD.
Turkey as the 7th largest Iran's export market imported around 281 thousand tons of Iranian goods in April and allocated 1.42% of total weight and 4.18% of total value of Iran's exports to itself which was worth 113,756,000 USD.
The 8th largest Iran's export market was Thailand, which imported 281 thousand tons of Iranian goods in April and allocated 3.49% of total weight and 3.95% of total value of Iran's exports to itself which was worth 107,671,000 USD.
The 9th largest Iran's export market was Japan, which imported 178 thousand tons of Iranian goods in April and allocated 2.21% of total weight and 2.6% of total value of Iran's exports to itself which was worth 70,708,000 USD.
Pakistan as the 10th largest Iran's export market imported around 165 thousand tons of Iranian goods in April and allocated 2.5% of total weight and 1.72% of total value of Iran's exports to itself which was worth 46,741,000 USD.
Turkmenistan, Singapore, Oman, Taiwan, and Kenya ranked from the 11th to 15th in the table of Iran's exports in April of current year, and all the first 15 countries allocated 87.64% of the weight and 92.22% value of the total Iran's exports in the same month to themselves.
Totally, Iran exported around 8 million tons of goods which were worth 2 billion and 722 million USD in April, 2017.
