According to Quick Facts Group correspondent of Gars News Agency, wood is the paper raw material, and human beings cut down a lot of trees to meet their requirements in the field of stationary. However, have you ever thought how many sheets of paper can be produced from a tree?
According to the reports, a pack of 500 sheets can be produced from 6% of the trunk of a tree.
ConservaTree center has had a new study in order to make the people aware of the environment and damages resulted from cutting trees to produce paper, but all trees do not have similar diameter. The center chose a group of a thousand trees to find out the average diameter a tree trunk by studying them all.
It is found that a tree with a height of 12.20 meters and a diameter of between 1.8 and 2.4 meters is considered a standard size for a tree. A group of 24 trees with hard and soft wood with these dimensions can be used for the production of one ton of writing paper.

"Suzan Kinsala", the Director of the ConservaTree explained, "A large part of a tree trunk is made of water. Therefore, one ton of paper can be produced from 4 tons of wood. Based on the mention standard tree, we can obtain 4 tons of wood from 24 standard trees.
Generally speaking, 16.67 reams of A4 can be produced from each tree based of which if a monthly magazine with high circulation is supposed to be printed, 15 trees should be cut for each circulation.
