Some 90 unionized employees expect to be back on the job at Norampac's Trenton, Ontario corrugating medium mill in early January, according to a report in a local newspaper.
In late November, Norampac warned that the mill would take market-related downtime starting at some point in December. At that time, the company did not know exactly how long the downtime would last, with the exception of saying that it would carry over into January.
The Trenton mill has a production capacity of 180,000 metric tons per year of corrugating medium and employs about 140 workers.
