MeadWestvaco Corp. (MWV) has named Dr. Ted Lithgow as the new president of MWV Healthcare, effective October 1.
In his role, Dr. Lithgow will focus on leveraging the success of MWV Healthcare’s adherence and compliance packaging solutions, global manufacturing capabilities and efficient supply chain to accelerate the commercialization of new products and capitalize on growth opportunities in fast-growing areas of the world like India and China.
Dr. Lithgow joins MWV from Schering Plough Corporation where he most recently served as group vice president of the Global Prescription Business, and general manager of a respiratory care joint venture with Merck. He has held senior level marketing, business development, commercial and global operations positions at Warner Lambert, Wyeth and Pharmacia. In these roles, he pioneered a new and highly successful process linking product development and commercialization activities that significantly improved speed to market in both Rx and OTC product launches.
