Fraser Papers today said that it will temporarily shutdown its sawmills located in Juniper and Plaster Rock, New Brunswick beginning May 27, 2007 due to weak market conditions.
Fraser expects the two mills, as well as its sawmill in Ashland, Maine which has been shut since March 25, to be shut down for a four week period depending on market conditions.
The idling of the New Brunswick sawmills affects approximately 350 workers.
