Asadollah Abbasi called the villagers the supporters and guardians of the cultural fabric of the villages on the Day of Municipalities and Villages Conference held at Gilan Governorate Building and added, "All the programs of the village authorities should be accompanied by a research amendment."
Pointing out that creating rural vitality is one of the duties of the village authorities, he added, "Apartment living and the construction of multi-storey buildings in villages is fundamentally wrong, and in case of violations, those involved will be legally dealt with."
Stating that we should not destroy the village culture by building luxury villas and force the villagers to migrate to the cities, the governor of Gilan said, "The revision and modification of Guidance Plans should be done as soon as possible and in this regard, the opinion of the elites and governors should be used and are emphasized.
He added, "If a permit has been issued in a city or a village since the time I took office, and then it is proven to be illegal, the signatories of the permit issuance and those who have been involved in paperwork must pay for the damage of its destruction."
Referring to the reports that some license issuers direct people, Abbasi said, "Village authorities should act revolutionary and jihadi because they are elected as the representatives of the government in villages and districts."
Emphasizing the need to solve the problems of having access to the Internet in villages, he clarified, "Strengthening and installing self-supporting cables should be given serious attention in addition to consumption and saving management."
Stating that exemplary village officials and mayors in waste management should be introduced by the governors, the governor of Gilan added, "We will not be able to manage waste without separating waste from the source, so this culture must be established among the people."
Stating that the mayors should invest in order to create stable income, he added, "Municipalities should not be run solely by relying on normal income."
