The joint meeting of the Syndicate of Paper and Cardboard Manufacturers with the Association and the Cooperative Co.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Haj Azami, the CEO of the of the Association of Carton and Sheet Industry Executive, While saying welcome to the respected members of  the Syndicate of Paper and Cardboard Manufacturers and congratulating them on the New Year, stated the main policy of the Association and the Cooperative Co. is to support the domestic products, and they have followed, are following, and will always follow the same policy respectively in the past, now, and in future.   

He pointed out, “If we can’t help importing paper from overseas, the paper is certainly the one which cannot be supplied domestically. If the mentioned paper is produced domestically, we will stop importing that kind of paper, too.”

He noted, “Paper makers and carton makers have same interest and are quite dependent on each other. If the price of the paper increases, we will not be able to increase the price of cartons because we will lose a great number of our customers which is not in favor of both parties.”

After that, Mr. Dr. Roghani, The CEO of the Syndicate of Paper Makers, while congratulating the New Year, said, “The current meeting has been only held to congratulate each other on the New Year, and we are not supposed to discuss economical issues in the meeting.” 

He also added, “One of the obligations of the industry is to form the Federation of Cellulose Industries.”

Mr. Mohammad Javad Moghadam, the Chairman of the Board of Pars Paper Co., emphasized the mutual interests of the paper makers and the carton makers while supporting the domestic products.
