The autumn got off to a sluggish start on Italy’s recovered paper market. Trading activity picked up only slowly after the summer break, with demand in September remaining fairly subdued. Waste management companies turned to exports to Asia as a stopgap, but this was not enough to prevent prices for ordinary recovered paper grades from slipping slightly once again. The same trend is evident for deinking grades.
The slump in demand has now also begun to affect high grades, with price reductions being seen here and there. ...
