Investment firm Vanguard Vertex has acquired 100 per cent of the shares in TPPC for an undisclosed sum.
The company plans to broaden TPPC’s product portfolio and increase turnover to more than £10m.
TPPC operates under the brands The Printed Cup Company and The Paper Cup Company, and currently employs a team of 30 across its UK and China sites. The group operates a 1,400 m² manufacturing facility in Clitheroe, Lancashire.
According to Forbes Solicitors, which advised Vanguard Vertex on the acquisition, TPPC’s product range includes paper-based drinks cups and food pots, recyclable plastic cups, as well as accessories such as straws, lids, and stickers. The company supplies customers throughout the UK and mainland Europe.
“There is significant opportunity to grow the supply of paper-based and recyclable plastic food and drink containers,” said Oliver Alcock, founder of Vanguard Vertex. “Cafés, coffee shops, takeaways and event venues are increasingly seeking sustainable and circular solutions to serve their customers. TPPC has a strong track record of producing bespoke cups and is well equipped to meet the needs of operators of all sizes.”
