Production at Mondi's Kuopio containerboard mill has been standing still since an incident in the pulp tower in early November.
Mondi has resumed production at the group's semi-chemical fluting mill in Kuopio, Finland. According to Mondi, the repair work has been successfully completed and operations are ramping up.
Mondi Kuopio runs one paper machine with an installed capacity of 340,000 tpy of semi-chemical fluting. Production was interrupted on 4 November when an explosion in the pulp tower also damaged the roof of the production hall housing the mill's paper machine.
