The Comprehensive Mining and Mineral Industries Conference commenced this morning at the Milad Tower International Conference Center, bringing together government officials, industry leaders, and key stakeholders. The event was inaugurated in the presence of Shina Ansari, Vice President and Head of the Department of Environment, alongside a distinguished group of mining and industrial experts.

In a video address to the gathering, the Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade identified the energy imbalance as one of the most serious challenges currently confronting Iran’s industrial sector. He noted that many of the issues facing the industry today have their roots in previous years but have now escalated into “mega-challenges” that significantly hinder growth and performance.

Expressing optimism about the outcomes of the event, Seyed Mohammad Atabak stated: “This comprehensive conference, held with a new approach focusing on production and markets, can generate lasting benefits for the mining and mineral industries.”

He further emphasized the importance of collaborative solutions: “Our expectation from such forums is to receive practical and effective responses from experts to address the pressing challenges of the industrial sector.”

The four-day conference includes both seminars and an exhibition showcasing the latest achievements of the mining and mineral industries. Its main objectives are to attract investment and explore solutions to critical sectoral challenges, including energy imbalances, inadequate infrastructure, the need for expanded exploration, and the development of digital mining technologies. The event will run through 20 August.
