According to the company, halting pulp production would allow them to focus entirely on paper manufacturing and expand their product offerings.

The mill owner, the private equity firm Atlas Holdings, purchased and then took the parent company of Office Depot and Office Max private in a reported billion dollar deal.

According to New York Almanack, closing the log-yard will dramatically affect local logging companies. The vast majority of logging operations in the region rely heavily on supplying pulp wood. Finch will likely source all its pulp from Canada in the future, or buy market pulp.

Finch is an American manufacturing company, operating in Glens Falls, New York, for 150 yea. Paper production began in September 1905.
